Kelowna is known for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities, and one of the best ways to experience it all is through hiking. With plenty of trails to choose from, you're sure to find a hike that fits your skill level and desired scenery. So, grab your hiking boots and get ready to explore the best hikes in Kelowna.

  1. Knox Mountain Park – Located in the heart of Kelowna, Knox Mountain Park offers stunning views of the city and Okanagan Lake. The park has a variety of hiking trails, ranging from easy to difficult, and is probably the most popular view point in Kelowna. The Paul's Tomb trail is a must-do, with a scenic path that winds through the forest and ends at a beautiful beach. Dogs have to be on leash here, however there is an off-leash run for your pup near the base of the mountain.

  2. Myra Canyon Trestles – If you're looking for a unique hiking experience, then the Myra Canyon Trestles trail is spectacular. The trail follows an old railway line, with 18 trestles and 2 tunnels to explore. The trail is easy to moderate and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Okanagan Valley. And if you're feeling extra motivated - you can ride your bike all the way to Naramata! Plan for about 5-6 hours. Bring snacks!

  3. Rose Valley Regional Park – Located in West Kelowna, Rose Valley Regional Park is a popular spot for hiking and mountain biking. The park has a variety of trails, ranging from easy to difficult. The highlight of the park is the Rose Valley Reservoir trail, which offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valley.

  4. Crawford Falls – For a scenic waterfall hike, head to Crawford Falls in Upper Mission. The trail is short and easy, leading to a beautiful waterfall and a swimming hole. The trail is perfect for families and offers plenty of opportunities for photos.

  5. Bear Creek Provincial Park – Located on the west side of Okanagan Lake, Bear Creek Provincial Park offers a variety of hiking trails and gorgeous views of the lake. The Bear Creek Canyon trail is a must-do, with a challenging path that leads to a beautiful waterfall and canyon.

In conclusion, Kelowna is a hiker's paradise with plenty of trails to explore. Whether you're looking for a scenic view of the city or a challenging hike through the mountains, Kelowna has something for everyone. So, grab your hiking boots and hit the trails – you won't be disappointed!
